Our Aim

Holme Valley Heritage Week is brought to you by the Holme Valley Tourism Partnership, a collaboration between the Parish Council, Holmfirth Forward, Holmfirth Conservation Group and Holmfirth Library. It is all about celebrating the unique history and character of our valley. Running from 11th to 20th September 2026 and with a central theme of ‘Hearth & Holme’, the programme of attractions will feature open buildings, exhibitions, talks and events that highlight our rich local heritage and encourage community involvement.

Heritage

Heritage is about our identity.

How the Holme Valley came to be as it is now. This is more than history, this is about why we are here and why it matters today.

Why we are proud of our Holme Valley!

Our Projects are Your Projects

Our mission is to engage the community and raise awareness about the significance of local heritage through open buildings, events, activities and displays.

If you are a member of our resident or business community, we would love to include you. Could you open your building, tell us your story, display your history, let us all join in? Head over to our Get Involved page or use our contact form below.

If you are a local resident or a visitor to our amazing area, we look forward to welcoming you to one of our fascinating events.
